Scientific Day of Family Medicine under the title Health Change Today: For a Better Tomorrow under the patronage of Her Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. May Kaileh, and in cooperation with the Juzoor Foundation for Health Development and with the support of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, and was held over two scientific days.
 The day began with the Palestinian national anthem and opened the welcoming speeches with Dr. Umayya Khamash / Director of Juzoor Foundation for Health Development, where he welcomed the attendees and thanked the Ministry of Health, An-Najah University and the Family Medicine Society for their joint efforts to develop the specialization and concept of family medicine in Palestine.
Mr.Guglielmo Giordano - Head of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, also spoke and stressed the importance of family health and the need for continuous development despite the challenges faced by the health sector due to the presence of the occupation and its continuous measures that led to a lack of resources and the difficulty of moving between centers and hospitals.
Dr. Suha Al-Hamshari also welcomed the attendees again, representing the Palestinian Association of Family Medicine, and spoke at length about the emergence of family medicine since 2010 to this day and the challenges that this specialty faced and still faces, so that it is considered one of the new medical specialties in Palestine and called on all participants to clarify the concept and importance of family medicine, as it is considered an essential pillar of the Palestinian medical sector.
 Dr.Andy Ferguson, representing FFMP, expressed his happiness with what this specialty has reached in Palestine, and Mrs.Aisha, representing the MAP Foundation, about her support for all opinions that seek to serve this specialization and on behalf of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Dr. Imad Al-Masri, Director of the Family Health Department at the Ministry of Health, spoke and conveyed the greetings of Her Excellency the Minister of Health, Dr. May Kaileh, and His Excellency the Assistant Undersecretary for Family Health Affairs at the Ministry, Dr. Kamal Al-Shakhra, and pointed out that the Ministry has developed several departments that serve family health and that The Ministry's vision that the development of family medicine is of great importance for the renaissance in the health sector, especially primary health care, and thanked all supporters from governmental and non-governmental institutions for their participation in the success and development of this specialty.
On the sidelines of the first scientific day, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Wael Al-Sheikh, attended to listen to the ideas and directions of doctors, to bring views closer and to clarify the vision of the Ministry of Health to advance this specialty after neighboring countries.
The scientific day lasted for two days at the Carmel Hotel in Ramallah, and after the welcoming speeches, many representatives of the institutions spoke about important topics in the field of primary health care, including child and elderly care, and also included scientific and valuable lectures from the elite Palestinian doctors
